Buying your first home or your vacation property is a journey. The first step is to find a licensed professional, known as a real estate broker, who is familiar with local home values, neighborhoods, real estate trends and can write an offer and negotiate on your behalf.

Local Expertise

Your real estate broker should have excellent knowledge in regards to neighborhoods, home values, trends, local amenities, and geographic features. If your real estate broker is not from the area you are intending to purchase in, find a local broker.

Responsiveness

In this market, especially, responsiveness has never been more important. You will have lots of questions and concerns so if your real estate broker is unable to respond quickly, you may want to consider another broker.

Your real estate broker is a therapist, consultant, and facilitator for your home search. A great broker will listen and advise based on your goals, you should never feel sales pressure, and they will also connect you with their team of trusted experts. An experienced broker can make this process as seamless as possible.

Skiing has been part of my life since I was four years old, when I learned on the slopes of Sunday River and Mt. Abram. Skiing as a family was a choice my parents made, and it's one of the reasons we moved to Maine. We skied every weekend, and later I fell in love with Bethel all over again as a student athlete at Gould Academy.

I started my real estate career in 2000 and have built and sold several homes in the area. I also raised my daughter here. Her passion for ski racing grew from Mini River Runners and River Runners to Gould's GACP weekend program, then 8th grade Winter Term at Gould and on through high school. After graduating from Gould, she now skis Division I at Colby College, where she is a captain of the alpine ski team. Raising a child at the resort was such a gift, and our partnership with Gould has been invaluable.
